Arthurian Tales Chronology
Arthurian Tales is a four book collection. A fifth century backdrop hangs upon this series like a red, Roman cape. Arthurian Tales showcases an alternative but true to the source look at this legendary theme.
The Arthurian Chronology forming the spine of these stories follows the model put forth by Geoffrey Ashe in his benchmark book, The Discovery of King Arthur. Though based on it, Mintz refines the timeline further with his own interpretation of details provided by contemporary writers.
Stepping from the norm, Mintz abandons any dating based on the third consulship of Aëtius. Instead the author anchors his Arthurian Chronology on the well-documented visit by Bishop Germanus of Auxerre to Britain. By doing so, Mintz obtains a realistic Arthurian Chronology.
Shortly, a glimpse of this timeline shall be provided for further scrutiny.
