Chateau de Nantes

Bowing his head knowing that
he was the herald of more bad news,
Duc de Paimpont began, “Unfortunately, the news that I have received is by far
worse.”
Reaching into his black velvet–like
jacket and pulling out a rolled scroll, the
Duc looked at the group and announced,“As of a week ago yesterday, the
southernmost lands of Armorica, Nantes,
is no longer part of the kingdom.
“The city has been sacked and is now
occupied by the Western Gothic Empire.
Most of the loyal servants of Armorica were systematically corralled up and laughtered
on their own streets as others were forced
to watch.”
